Mission
The Shore Directorate provides expertise and guidance for safety and occupational health (SOH) program elements applicable to the shore establishment. The staff includes the Navy GS-0018 Community Manager and subject matter experts across the Navy SOH program spectrum (occupational safety and health, traffic safety, and recreation and off-duty safety). The directorate directly supports inspections of Echelon 2/3 shore commands, performs safety assessments during assistance visits, and maintains policy updates for multiple OPNAV SOH instructions.
