The GEICO Military Service Awards Program recognizes enlisted members of the military for the many contributions they make to their local community and the nation in their dual role as citizen and service member. The award program honors one active duty or reserve enlisted member from each of the six branches of military service and one enlisted member from the National Guard for volunteer activities and contributions that enrich their communities, as well as mission accomplishments while on duty. 2. Nomination details. All E-7 and below enlisted active duty and reserve service members with at least one year of obligated service remaining after Dec 2024 are eligible for nomination. Nominees will be assessed first on their Off-Duty Accomplishments: Community Involvement, Volunteerism, and then On-Duty accomplishments: Acts of Exemplary Service, How They Lead by Example. All nomination packages must include the following: a. A completed GEICO Military Service Award Nomination Form located below: HTTPS://WWW.GEICO.COM/PUBLIC/PDF/MILITARY/AWARDTEMPLATE.PDF b. A high resolution, digital photo with head and shoulder's view of the nominee in service dress uniform without cover/headgear. c. A letter of endorsement from the highest military authority at the assigned installation or the first 0-6 Commander in the chain of command. The nomination form is self-explanatory but refrain from using military acronyms as the GEICO Leadership Team is not familiar with military terms. 3. Endorsed nomination packages consisting of no more than three pages must be emailed to: NAVSAFECOM_CODE20_ASHORE@NAVY.MIL and JOANNE.M.MARKS.CIV @US.NAVY.MIL no later than 30 Nov 2024.
