Ladies and Gentlemen,
Good morning and best wishes as we begin the New Year. This Tri-Weekly provides updates on FY26 schedule and funding impacts, the FY27 Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) Training Needs Assessment, and the 34th Annual Joint Safety and Environmental Professional Development Symposium (PDS).
FY26 Environmental and Emergency Management Course Schedule/Funding. As briefed in multiple previous tri-weekly updates, the courses listed below have been identified as unfunded following, as briefed, notification from our resource sponsor of current funding constraints. Absent receipt of funding no later than 45 days prior to the scheduled convening date for CONUS courses and 75 days for OCONUS courses, these courses will be cancelled. Please note that several of the affected courses are scheduled for execution during the third quarter of the fiscal year. Any concerns should be addressed to the NERTP Steering Committee Chair, through your Echelon II.
The schoolhouse has/will continue to keep our Echelon II (Naval Safety Command) informed, along with all stakeholders, for all levels to assess and manage the associated risk of lack of training; particularly considering the volume of training requirements identified through the annual needs assessment. We will continue to coordinate closely with our resource sponsor through our Echelon II and will provide updates as funding decisions are made.

FY27 Training Needs Assessment Reminder (SOH Courses). This is a reminder that NAVSAFENVTRACEN is developing the FY27 course schedule and requires consolidated quota requirements from Echelon II commands via Tasker DON-251113-FLK5. This data supports schedule development and resource planning for all Safety and Occupational Health (SOH) courses. Consolidated responses are due 27 February 2026. Submission of requirements does not guarantee a quota; all final quota requests must still be submitted and approved through eNTRS. Environmental and Emergency Management community-specific FY27 training requirements will be coordinated through the Navy Environmental Readiness Training Program (NERTP) Steering Committee.
34th Annual Joint Safety & Environmental Professional Development Symposium (PDS) Call for Presenters & Sponsors (Closing Soon!).
