Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning! The Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NSTEC) is pleased to announce the release of our FY26 full course schedule (attached).  Please note that in our FY26 schedule we have annotated which courses are currently funded and which remain unfunded, based on the budget status provided by our resource sponsors - N4i (for Environmental and Emergency Management courses) and the Naval Safety Command (for Safety and Occupational Health courses). Below you will find the current FY26 funding status, schedule highlights, and enrollment information.

FY26 Funding Status as of 11 June:

  • Environmental budget controls have been received which equates to 120 courses currently unfunded.  Funds saved throughout the year will be allocated to first up first funded order.
  • Safety and Occupational Health budget controls are still under review.
  • However, both community courses scheduled for FY26 QTR1 are currently funded.

FY26 Course Schedule Highlights: The course schedule provides a wealth of information, so please review the items below to learn more about the schedule and how to enroll.

  • FY26 Status Dashboard: The first tab of our course schedule provides a quick overview of the year. Here, you can find the number of courses and quotas we plan to offer. The dashboard also highlights fleet needs and what we can provide with our available resources. Please monitor the dashboard throughout the year, as the information will be updated as we progress through the schedule.
  • FY26 Schedule: The second tab of our course schedule contains the complete schedule. The schedule is sortable by course title and location, allowing you to quickly find the information you need. Each line provides the location and start time for each specific course session. If you are taking a global online course, please ensure you check the live session start time. We want to avoid situations where our shipmates on the East Coast have to attend a course that starts at 1900 EST.
  • Funding: New for FY26 is the funding status of each course session. The funding status is listed in the FY26 Schedule tab.
  • FY 26 Needs Assessment: The last three tabs contain all FY26 Needs Assessment data. This data provides a quick look at FY22-FY26 needs assessment data, including all needs assessment input received from ECH II commands.  We have split up the tabs for FY26 Needs Assessment between Safety and Environmental and Emergency Management.
  • Course Address and Course Start Times: The course schedule provides the course locations for resident courses and time zones for global online courses. Visit our website for additional details about the courses. The website provides resident course addresses and online start times. Enrollment Information

FY26 Quarter 1 quotas will open by close of business on July 9th. All quotas must be requested via eNTRS: https://app.prod.cetars.training.navy.mil/eNTRS/. Due to increased student throughput and staffing considerations, the training center will no longer accept rosters submitted via email. Training Officers (TRAINOs), please ensure all student information is correctly submitted when requesting a quota for your shipmates. Verify that student profiles are updated and that the correct student email address is added to the student email field in the request.

Enrollment via the Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System (eNTRS) is the primary enrollment method for all Navy courses. eNTRS provides the means for Fleet activities to view and request seats in Navy schools. Please take a few minutes to ensure you have access to eNTRS. If access is needed, use this link to request it (https://main.prod.cetars.training.navy.mil/cetars/main.html). If you are assisting others with reservations, please make sure your access request includes UICs of all your students. Here are some troubleshooting tips to help you along the way:

  • If eNTRS fails to open, try using Edge and allow the browser to access the site using IE Mode.
  • If you encounter issues signing up someone within your UIC, please double-check their student information. Ensure their data is current and accurately reflects their rank and UIC.
  • For requests denied due to email, verify that you provided the correct student email address in the request. The email address can be either a .mil or personal email.
  • Please ensure you are a good steward of all quotas requested for you or someone else. The Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center needs your assistance in lowering the number of quotas taken by no-show students. A list of FY25 no-show students is attached. As of 9 July, 1,335 no-show students have taken seats from other students who require training. As a reminder, a no-show is:

    1. A command/activity has a quota for a student who does not report for a course of instruction (COI), and the command does not provide a replacement student at the initial class muster.
    2. A command cancels a granted quota in 4 or fewer working days before a course convening without providing a replacement.
    3. A student does not meet course prerequisites.
    4. A student is absent from the COI to the extent that they cannot obtain credit for the course.

In addition to the course schedule, NAVSAFENVTRACEN would like to remind you about the newly added Risk Management Information courses. We have a limited number of quotas remaining for the July EST sessions. Please see the attached FY25 schedule for information about the July, August and September courses.

Thank you all for your feedback on our TRI-weekly updates. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions or your feedback as requested in the first paragraph.
