 Ladies and Gentlemen,

As we prepare to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, the Naval Safety and Environmental Training Center (NAVSAFENVTRACEN) wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Fourth of July holiday. Whether traveling, spending time on the water, attending community events, or enjoying time with family and friends, please make safety part of your plans. We wish everyone a safe and happy Independence Day.

This Tri-Weekly provides important updates regarding FY27 training registration, the FY27 course schedule, upcoming Subject Matter Expert (SME) opportunities, RMI training, and continued access to Professional Development Symposium (PDS) recordings.

  • FY27 First Quarter Quotas Open 7 July.  Registration for FY27 first-quarter quotas will open by close of business 7 July 2026. Commands are encouraged to verify that personnel requiring training have an active eNTRS account prior to quota release. If an account requires reactivation, please allow at least three business days for the CeTARS support team to complete the request. Verifying account access now will help prevent delays when registration opens. Finish reviewing this email and check you eNTRS account today, https://app.prod.cetars.training.navy.mil/eNTRS/.

  • FY27 Course Schedule Update.  As a follow-up to the previous Tri-Weekly announcement, the approved FY27 Environmental and Emergency Management course convenings have now been incorporated into the FY27 Course Schedule (CHRON). The updated schedule reflects approved course locations, delivery methods, and convening dates based on validated Fleet training requirements and available funding controls. The updated FY27 CHRON is attached for your convenience. Additionally, FY27 first-quarter course quotas will be available in eNTRS close of business 7 July 2026.

  • Upcoming Subject Matter Expert Opportunities.  NAVSAFENVTRACEN will soon solicit Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to participate in Training Requirements Reviews (TRRs) for the Hazardous Material Control and Management (HMC&M) Technician and Basic Laser Safety Officer courses. These reviews ensure course content remains technically accurate, operationally relevant, and aligned with current Fleet requirements. Personnel with recent experience in hazardous material management, laser safety, radiation safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or related disciplines are encouraged to watch for the upcoming solicitation. Keep an eye out on the official tasker system for additional information about the reviews.

  • RMI Training Registration Now Open.  Registration is now open for the July through September RMI training sessions. Participants should register for the applicable monthly session and may attend either all scheduled sessions or only those needed to meet their training requirements. Additional information and registration are available at: https://navalsafetycommand.navy.mil/Learning/NAVSAFENVTRACEN/RMI-Training/.

  • Professional Development Symposium Recordings. The recordings from the 34th Joint Safety and Environmental Professional Development Symposium remain available as an on-demand, self-paced professional development resource. Whether you missed a session or would like to revisit a presentation, the recordings provide continued access to the technical and professional development content presented during the symposium. Recordings will remain available through 19 April 2027, offering an excellent opportunity for continuous learning and professional development throughout the year. Additional information and recording access can be found here: http://jointpds.adobeconnect.com/pds2026registration/event/event_info.html.
