 Ladies and Gentlemen,

Good morning! I hope this update finds you well. In this tri-weekly, I’ll provide information on FY26 funding, our FY26 Course Catalog, important accessibility updates with closed captions, and two key updates related to Risk Management Information (RMI) training.

Funding Status: Environmental budget controls have been received, and at present, 119 courses remain unfunded. As the year progresses, any savings identified will be strategically reallocated to maximize training opportunities. Safety and Occupational Health budget controls are still under review, but the outlook remains positive. The good news: both community courses scheduled for FY26 QTR1 are fully funded and moving forward as planned. You can view the FY26 schedule using the attached file or by visiting our website, https://navalsafetycommand.navy.mil/Learning/NAVSAFENVTRACEN/Course-Schedule/.

FY26 Course Catalog: The FY26 Course Catalog is now available. The catalog provides a comprehensive overview of courses, including prerequisites, CINs, CDPs, class sizes, and course length. I have attached it to this email and you can access the catalog on our website: https://navalsafetycommand.navy.mil/Portals/100/Documents/FY26_Course-Catalog_V3.pdf.

Closed Captions for NAVSAFENVTRACEN Courses: To support accessibility for all learners, closed captions (CC) have now been added to all NAVSAFENVTRACEN courses:

  • Courses scheduled at 1900 EST will include Japanese closed captions.
  • For all other courses, CC will be available upon request. However, only one language can be in close caption at once.  Students must respond to the welcome email if closed captions are needed. Requests must state the language needed and received prior to the course start date.

RMI Training- Recordings Available: We have added past RMI training recordings to the NAVSAFENVTRACEN website to provide additional learning opportunities and reinforce classroom instruction. You can access the recordings here:
https://navalsafetycommand.navy.mil/Learning/NAVSAFENVTRACEN/RMI-Training-Recordings/.  To remind, the recordings are only as good as the production of RMI modules at that particular time for updates of always being made in support of the Naval Enterprise and feedback received.

Thank you all for your feedback on our tri-weekly updates. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.
