Much like the 101 Critical Days of Summer, the fall and winter seasons come with their own unique safety hazards. This year's Fall and Winter Safety Awareness campaign started Oct 1st and runs through the end of February. Watch here as RADM. Daniel P. Martin, Commander, Naval Safety Command, gives his thoughts on the importance of making mindful choices to protect our warfighters as we go through the months ahead. Some activities, such as driving, are even more hazardous due to shifts in the weather and increases in rain and snow. Other hazards derive from activities that spike during the fall and winter months, such as bonfires, holiday gatherings, winter sports and using ladders to clean gutters or string holiday lights. We encourage the naval enterprise to continue getting out in front and not let our guard down in our collective efforts to educate about risk and understand behaviors that contribute to fall-related mishaps. See the below presentations for more information.  Look out for future related products that will be made available to this page throughout the season.
